All that matters when evaluating a searchlight is how much light is on the target and how uniform that light is. The measure for this is lux and on this metric Megaray has been independently verified as being best-in-class. Our patented optical and thermal management system optimizes the watts, candela and lumens in producing the most amount of lux. Furthermore Megaray searchlights create uniform illumination in both flood and spot modes whereas other searchlights create a "donut" when in flood mode and a hot-spot when in spot mode.
MEGARAY'S HIGH-INTENSITY BEAM BLINDS TARGETS
The unrivaled light intensity of Megaray searchlights blinds targets making our products ideal for crowd control and enemy fire suppression as well as for integration with other non-lethal technologies. Our products can operate in strobe mode which disorients people further. Even at distances of 2 miles (over 3 km) it creates a beam diameter of 115 yards (105 m) rendering people unable to look in its direction. The beam intensity over long ranges also makes the searchlights effective in concealing what lies behind it.
